| Note: It has been a pleasure to be one of the driving engines for the game theme bars that Scrollbar have arranged the last couple of years and come up with all the fun drinks for the different themes. I am done with my Master here at ITU and do not know how much longer I will be active in the bar. So the Starcraft theme may be the last one that I host. I hope that some of the other members of Scrollbar will take over and introduce you with new themes and drinks. In the end, it has been bliss to see that so many people around the world have liked what we have created here and thanks for all the comment. Furthermore, doing the theme bars, I had the joy to get introduce to a Japanese website that is dedicated in collecting game cocktail recipes from around the world. The girls there have collected a lot of game related cocktails that you should check out. (It is in Japanese, but Google translator does an ok job there) http://cocktail.daa.jp/. But know to the Starcraft Cocktails:
Scrollbar hosts the official weekly Fredagsbar (Friday Bar) of IT University of Copenhagen. In March 2009, we made a Chrono Trigger; after that we needed a little break to come up with new ideas (1 year :P). On the 12th of March 2010, Mike (ed.) anchored the bar for the Starcraft bar. The Starcraft 2 Beta had been released a couple of months before, so this theme bar was a perfect setting to introduce some Starcraft drinks. Battle reports from people playing the game was shown on the projector in the bar. We pooled our vast knowledge of mixing and alcohols (this is Denmark, after all) to craft nine unique Starcraft-theme drinks. The most popular ones were Creep and the Mothership. But all our recipes were very well-received. We encourage you to give them a try - but please credit us if you do! Also check out the other game cocktails: (Note: "cl" stands for centiliter. Two cl approximately equals one "shot") Questions? Comments? Reach us at: pr (AT) scrollbar (DOT) dk Note 18-06 2010: Youtube tutorials for the drinks are up now. |
