Scrollbar hosts the official weekly Fredagsbar (Friday Bar) of IT University of Copenhagen. In March 2011, we made a Duke Nukem; after that we needed a little break to come up with new ideas (which I did, Mike, in the summer). On the 14th of July 2011, Mike (ed.) was in Jutland during the summer, got bored and invented some Legend of Zelda drinks. Finally Hell has frosen and Pigs could fly, as the long awaited Duke Nukem Forever would be released in Juni. To celebrate that Mike (ed.) came up with new cocktails that would make the Duke proud.

We pooled our vast knowledge of mixing and alcohols (this is Denmark, after all) to craft nine unique Duke Nukem-theme drinks.

The most popular ones were Shake it, Baby! and the Nuke. But all our recipes were very well-received. We encourage you to give them a try - but please credit us if you do!

Zelda "Virgin"

"Link...Can you hear me? It's me, Zelda..."

Shaken

• 1 cl Monin Elderflower
• 1 cl Monin Ginger
• 1 cl Monin Spicy
• 4 cl Cranberry Juice

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass.

Notes:

Young Link "Virgin"

Garnish:
None

• 1 cl Monin Cucumber
• 1 cl Monin Honey
• 1 cl Monin Pistachio
• 1 cl Lime Juice
• 5 cl Apple Juice

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass

Notes:
With this drink green was the colour to use. Furthermore i found that a combination of cucumber, honey and Pistachio is real good
Mix Young Link with Goddess of Courage to create Adult Link.

Ganondorf

"Pathetic little fool! Do you realize who you're dealing with? I am Ganondorf and soon I will rule the world! "

• 3 cl Black Sambuca
• 2 cl Myers's Rum
• 1½ cl Grand Marnier
• 5 cl Apple Juice
• Club Soda

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass

Notes:
As Ganondorf is evil I chose to not make this an "virgin" drink. I also chose the Sambuca for the colour of his soul. The Rum and the Grand Marnier gave good balance to the anis taste from the Sambuca
Mix Garnondorf with Goddess of Power to create Ganon.

Impa

"I am Impa of the Sheikahs. I am responsible for protecting Princess Zelda. Everything is exactly as the Princess foretold."

• 4 cl Sake
• 1 cl Monin Lychee
• 2 cl Monin Ginger
• 2 cl Bison Vodka
• 2 cl Amaretto
• 2 cl Whiskey
• 1 cl Lime Juice

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass

Notes:
With this one I wanted to add an asian touch to the drink, so Sake and Lychee was the base for this drink. The whiskey was added the the maturity of the character.

Master Sword

" As I see you standing there holding the mythical Master Sword, you really do look like the legendary Hero of Time..."

• 2 cl Vodka
• 2 cl Light Rum
• 2 cl Gin
• 2 cl Tequilla
• 2 cl Cointreau
• 1 cl Bols blue
• 3 cl Lime juice
• 1 cl Monin Honey
• 1 cl Monin Lychee
• 1 cl Monin Ginger
• top up with Sake

Directions:

Shake the first 10 ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass. top up with Sake

Notes:
The Master Sword had to be very strong, so I took inspiration in the "Ice teas" again. (like with the "Mothership" in the Starcraft theme). I manage to make this even stronger and if mix correctly one can only taste lemonade. If one wants more alcohol into the drink, exchange the "Monin Lychee" with a Lychee Liqueur.

• 2 cl Absinth
• 2 cl Sourz Apple
• 3 cl Maple Liqueur
• 4 cl Apple Juice
• 2 cl Lime Juice

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into Ice-filled Glass

Notes:
Absinth was the base (well because of it is the "Green Fairy"). Added Maple and Sourz Apple for some nice taste.

Gogon

"Thanks to you, we can once again eat the delicious rocks from the Dogondo's cavern 'til our stomach burst!"

• 2 cl Amaretto
• 1 cl Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
• 2 cl Monin Pistachio
• 2 cl Bols Creme de Cacao Brown
• 2 cl Caramel Liqueur
• 1 cl Monin Honey

Directions:
Shake ingredients with ice.

Notes:
One could add some nuts or maybe chocolate crips into the drink to add a rocky texture

Shake first seven ingredients with ice.Pour into icefilled glass and top up with Club Soda

Some green coulors as garnish could be good. Lime, Mint, etc.
